Gregorio Griffoni 55
- Born: 1862 16
- Marriage (1): Joanna Lusardi on 12 Dec 1890 in Newark, NJ, USA 55
- Died: Aft 1909
Was busy today looking at Passenger List from Ellis Island. I found Gregorio Griffoni returning from his trip to Italy (returned 1902),can't find his wife and according to the letter sent by a friend from Toms River she should have been there with him. I did find Angela Lusardi with 4-5 Marchini children coming over in 1905. She is listed as single. Under where she is from it lists Porcigatone, Parma.
More stuff (some confusing) I still don't know what happen to the wife who was supposed be with him according letter written by a friend in Toms River to her in Italy. He came back on June 07, 1902, SS La Lorraine, leaving from LeHavre, France. According to manifest he was 40 at the time and had been in the US 12 years ago (would have to be 1890, but that is the year he got married in the States). He brought with him two girls (Gene heard his mother talking about him bringing someone over). They are Lusardi Catherina 18 and Lusardi Maria Luigia 15. His last name on the manifest is listed as Griffoni.
The childrens names are Fiorinda 16, Maria 9, Emilia 4, Luigia 3, Guiseppina 2. In the ship manifest it mentions the husband and an address in New York. I can't get all but if you go into Ellis Island passenger list and I assume your registered you can get into the passenger lists and manifest. The came over on the SS North America from Genova, June 06, 1904. As for my aunt (I only know her maiden name), how do I get into the SS index? By the way Emilio came over in 1897, I found him in the same place as Angela Lusardi. 55
Gregorio married Joanna Lusardi, daughter of Joseph Lusardi and Maria Felloni, on 12 Dec 1890 in Newark, NJ, USA.55 (Joanna Lusardi was born circa 1870 in Italy 55 and died in 1957 55.)
